SK Graduation Day 2014

Our 21st Graduation Day was held on November 1st. 111 children from six K2 classes started the event with an astounding gymnastics item that drew “Oohs” and “Aahs” from the audience at the Ikeda Culture Auditorium of the SSA Headquarters. Children’s Day Celebration

On 2 October Soka Kindergarten celebrated Children’s Day. The event started with the singing of ‘Semoga Bahagia’ – the Children’s Day song. The highlight included creative team games played with friends and teachers. Refer to SSA Times issue 496 for details.


Read a story session

On 23 August, parent volunteers attended a preparatory reading workshop conducted by the Chinese teachers of Soka Kindergarten. The following week the parents read their selected stories to the children in the different classes. Refer to SSA Times issue 496 for details.


National Day Celebrations

Children decked out in the national colours arrived in school on 7 August, all eager and ready to take part in the celebrations. This year, a specially prepared skit about the local pioneers of Singapore was performed by the teachers for children to learn to appreciate what they have. Racial Harmony and SK Kindness Day

On, 21 July, the K2 children and teachers organised a charity drive for the Singapore Children’s Society. They invited the rest of the school to watch their ethnic dances and make a donation. Refer to SSA Times issue 496 for more details.


School Holiday on 3rd November 2014

3rd November is a scheduled school holiday in lieu of the Graduation Day event on 1st November.
